The nation’s defense systems and capabilities are challenged as never before-- on the ground, in the air, on the seas, in cyberspace and real space. The military must rise to those challenges on all those fronts to ensure the nation is secure.

Information technology remains warfighters’ and defenders’ powerful primary tool for their jobs. From cloud computing, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, to machine learning and advanced analytics, technology permeates all aspects of their domain defenses.

To maintain tactical and strategic edge, defense agencies have to adapt to swiftly-changing technologies and capabilities. This workshop will explore the DOD’s emerging and ongoing efforts on many technological fronts, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data governance, cybersecurity and others.

During this event, attendees will learn:

- How the DOD can proceed post-JEDI with the Joint Warfighter Cloud Capability (JWCC) program

- Emerging cyber threats and how to counter them

- Growing importance of data as an asset and how to manage it

- The importance of Zero Trust

- How DOD agencies can manage emerging artificial intelligence-driven technologies and capabilities, including the role of the new chief digital and artificial intelligence officer.
