Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and 5G wireless are driving technological innovation across the board in government and the commercial sector. Cloud evolution is no exception to their influence. AI-driven cloud computing allows cloud to be more efficient and effective, driven by more data-driven insights. Cloud’s reach can allow more expansive use of ML, while 5G will likewise expand machine to machine communications.

A potential golden age of cloud acquisition is here, as GSA looks to open a new cloud acquisition marketplace and framework. The agency wants to become a one-stop shop for federal agencies’ cloud solutions, including commercial Software as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service offerings, as well as ongoing governance and management capabities.

Driven by the changing expectations of our customers, SSA has executed a multi-year IT modernization program to refactor and replace legacy systems. Our modernization program has expanded and increased the use of digital self-service options for the public. The keynote will outline how SSA’s hybrid cloud environment enables modernization by taking advantage of cloud technologies capabilities in Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings.
