Teresa Nasif

Teresa N. Nasif is Director of the Federal Citizen Information Center, a nationwide program within the Office of Citizen Services and Communications at GSA. She is also the Executive Sponsor of the Presidential E-Gov initiative, USA Services. USA Services successfully brings together an array of U.S. government information and services and makes them easily accessible to the public through the web, toll-free telephone, e-mail, and print publications. USA Services answers citizen inquiries about federal programs and helps agencies improve their responses to citizens government-wide. A popular component of USA Services is the USA.gov website, the official portal of the U.S. government. USA Services also encompasses the National Contact Center, a nationwide toll-free center that answers citizens’ questions about the federal government via email and phone. Mrs. Nasif also oversees the well-known Pueblo, Colorado publication distribution facility. During FY 2007, USA Services public contacts are projected to exceed 168 million. Before joining GSA, Ms. Nasif was a Program Director for the National Dairy Council. She developed community consumer education programs and workshops for groups ranging from educators to civic clubs, and promoted nutrition and health information to the media. Prior to the Dairy Council, Mrs. Nasif was a Program Analyst at the Food and Nutrition Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington DC, managing nationwide federal family nutrition programs such as the School Lunch Program, and the School Breakfast Program. Ms. Nasif is a cum laude graduate of Marymount Manhattan College in New York City and is a member of the American Council for Technology, the National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators, and the National Association of Government Communicators. She has been awarded the Presidential Rank of Distinguished Executive, an honor bestowed upon only 5 percent of Senior Executive Service career members.
